Washington Leads Arkansas Past #18 Ole Miss
Mike Washington had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Marshawn Powell added 19 points and two key blocks in the final 1½ minutes to rally Arkansas to its second straight come-from-behind win, upsetting No. 18 Mississippi 80-73 Sunday night.
The Razorbacks (10-11, 3-3) earned back-to-back wins over Southeastern Conference Western Division leaders, erasing an eight-point deficit to beat the Rebels (16-5, 4-3) just days after overcoming a 12-point deficit against Mississippi State.
Arkansas also snapped a 15-game road losing streak in the SEC.
Washington had 12 points and eight rebounds in the final 20 minutes and Powell had 12 points and blocked Murphy Holloway twice with the game on the line.
Holloway finished with 19 points and 17 rebounds and Chris Warren had 17 for the Rebels. Rotnei Clarke scored 18 for the Razorbacks, who snapped Ole Miss’ three-game winning streak.
