Ole Miss freshman jumper Ricky Robertson tied the school record and was crowned the SEC Champion in the high jump after posting an NCAA automatic height of 7-04.25 at the SEC Indoor Championships from the Randal Tyson Center. 

Robertson became the first male in school history to win the high jump at the SEC Indoor Championships.  He tallied 10 points for Ole Miss and helped the Rebels finish in eighth place with a total of 37 points. 

Im feeling really good right now after winning the high jump and earning 10 points for my team, Robertson said.  I actually didnt expect to compete like this after I broke my foot.  I thought my coaches were going to redshirt me, but I healed really fast and was able to compete.

Middle distance runner Sofie Persson finished in fourth place and set a new school record in the 800 meters with an NCAA automatic time of 2:04.64.  Her five points helped the womens team finish in 10th place with a total of 30 points.  In addition, her time Sunday surpassed the previous school record of 2:05.38 she set a season ago. 

Logan Waites recorded a new school record and earned one point for Ole Miss after placing eighth in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:23.02.  She topped her own previous record of 17:43.83 she recorded last season as a freshman. 

Freshman Neal Tisher set a new school record in the pole vault with a height of 12-08.75 en route to a ninth place finish. 

Sophomore Brian Knight finished in second place in the high jump and picked up seven points with an NCAA provisional height of 7-03.25.  Fellow sophomore Caleb Lee collected four points in the long jump by taking fifth place with an NCAA provisional distance of 25-00.75. 

Freshman sprinter Mike Granger placed fourth in the 60 meter preliminaries and qualified for the finals after posting the third-fastest time in school history with an NCAA provisional mark of 6.66.  Granger went on to finish in fourth place in the finals and collect five points with an NCAA provisional time of 6.69. 

Jonathan Juin took eighth place in the 200 meter preliminaries with an NCAA provisional time of 21.14.  His time was the third-fastest in school history and helped qualified him for the finals.  Juin turned in an eighth place finish in the final and tallied one point for the Rebels with a time of 21.40.

Distance runner Barnabas Kirui earned one point in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:17.43 en route to an eighth place finish.  Kirui appeared to be in line for a first or second place finish, but was tripped from behind before recovering to take eighth. 

Kirui returned on Sunday and posted a fourth place finish in the 5000 meters with an NCAA provisional time of 13:58.68 on his way to picking up five points for the Rebels. 

The mens 4x400 meter relay team of Carson Blanks, Knight, Matt Daniels and Lee Ellis Moore finished in sixth place with an NCAA provisional time of 3:10.34 on its way to collecting three points. 

The Ole Miss distance medley team of Martin Kirui, Ty Gillespie, Riley Young and Chad Berry turned in an eighth place finish and tallied one point with a time of 10:15.57.

Junior jumper Rachel Jenkins posted a second place finish in the long jump and picked up eight points for Ole Miss with an NCAA provisional distance of 20-01.75.  Her mark was also the fifth-longest in school history. 

Freshman Marci Morman finished in eighth place in the triple jump and earned one point with her distance of 40-00.75.

Senior thrower Davina Orieuwku took sixth place in the shot put and scored three points with an NCAA provisional distance of 50-05.25.  Junior Betty Williams followed in seventh place and tallied two points with her NCAA provisional distance of 50-00.75. 

In the weight throw, Juliana Smith picked up four points for Ole Miss and posted a fifth place finish with a distance of 60-09.50. 

Sprinter LaJada Baldwin posted an NCAA provisional mark in the 60 meter preliminaries with a time of 7.43 despite suffering from the flu. 

The womens 4x400 meter relay team of Jasmine Dacus, Kristin Bridges, Sofia Hellberg-Jonson and Baldwin placed third overall and earned six points with an NCAA provisional time of 3:37.51.  The mark was also the third-fastest in school history. 

Freshman Brittney Bozeman placed 11th in the pentathlon and finished with 3,407 points to mark the fifth-highest total in school history. 

Ole Miss returns to action March 5-6 when the Rebels take part in an NCAA last chance meet.
